Synopsis
A few months have passed since the island of El Hierro was shaken by a series of murders. Candela Montes, an outspoken judge who is just starting to get used to such an unusual posting, is still determined to solve the drug trafficking case involving local businessman Díaz. Fearing reprisals from his former associates, Díaz refuses to collaborate with the judge, but despite this someone sends a hitman to finish him off. Who wants to kill him? And why? Candela has to deal with this new problem while at the same time handling the daily schedule of the court. Among other issues, an unpleasant family dispute that is going to affect Candela more than any other case in her career: Gaspar and Lucía are in the throes of divorce, a father and a mother fighting for custody of their two daughters, Ágata and Dácil, without stopping to think about what’s best for them or the damage their confrontation might be causing to the girls. The conflict will divide the island in two, with everyone taking sides, and unexpectedly leading to a murder with many potential suspects.

Synopsis
Hierro portrays two completely different characters, Judge Candela Montes and Díaz, as they conduct their own investigations into the same crime. Díaz is the main suspect in a murder that takes place as soon as the judge arrives on the island: Fran, a young man from El Hierro, is found dead on the day he was due to marry Díaz’s daughter. One of the defining features of Hierro is the tension between Candela and Díaz as they search for the killer.
Hierro is a crime drama in which stunning scenery also plays a starring role. It is a series with a heavy dose of realism that delves deep into the minds of its characters and the culture of a fascinating island.
